Poster printing

Posters are a fast, affordable way to promote an event, announce a special, share information or decorate a space. We print posters from standard sizes up to large format, on paper for indoor use and on tougher materials when they need to last.

Poster uses

  • Retail promotions – specials, new products and seasonal campaigns in windows and aisles.
  • Events – concerts, church and school events, markets and fundraisers.
  • Workplace information – notices, procedures and health and safety information.
  • Education – classroom charts and school displays.
  • Décor – photography and artwork prints.

Paper and finish

Posters for short-term indoor use are typically printed on paper. For posters that will be handled, or displayed for longer, a heavier stock, lamination or mounting on board adds durability. Outdoor posters fade and tear quickly on paper; for outdoor messages consider a banner, correx board or printed vinyl. See indoor vs outdoor durability.

Lead times

Paper posters are eligible for same-day production:

  • Economy – about 5 working days, 10% less than the listed price.
  • Standard – about 3 working days at the listed price.
  • Express – next working day, plus 20%.
  • Same-day – eligible items only (such as banners and paper print), ordered, paid and print-ready by 09:00 Monday to Friday, plus 30%. It is priced high on purpose, so planning a few days ahead saves you money.

Poster design tips

  • Make the main headline readable from across the room.
  • Include what, when, where and how to respond, and nothing more.
  • Use one strong image rather than many small ones.
  • Keep text inside the safe margin and add bleed if the design runs to the edge.

Check the artwork guidelines before uploading, or use our design service.

Ordering

Poster prices show online in the marketing print and large format prints categories. Larger runs and mounted posters can be quoted. Pay online by card through Yoco, or by EFT. Orders under R5,000 are paid in full before production starts; orders of R5,000 or more need a 65% deposit. Collect from Rivonia or have delivery arranged.
